Whittington Castle, Oswestry, Shropshire
Whittington Castle is one of the Marches Castles.
The tower keep is 12th century; the outer gatehouse is early 13th century.
During the civil war it was loyal to the Royalists until Oliver Cromwell's Roundheads took it by force in 1643.
I was married in the Castle in 2008.
