Gresford Railway Station
This is one of my recent watercolour paintings. It is of the old Gresford Railway Station.
It is loosely based on a monochrome photograph I found on a website provided by Alan Collins. I can’t trace Mr Collins so I hope he doesn’t mind my coloured watercolour in which I have used a fair bit of artistic licence.
The station belonged to the Great Western Railway (GWR) and was opened on the 4th November 1846. The station was closed in September 1962
